Job Description

Pediatrician  position in Indiana--30 minutes west of South Bend...one hour south of Chicago
 
Provides health services for patients from birth through adolescence, specializing in well childcare, including childhood immunizations; as well as the diagnosis and treatment of day-to-day childhood illnesses, such as minor injuries, and infectious diseases, common among pediatric patients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1.Assessment of health status:

  1. Obtains an age relevant health and medical history.
  2. Identifies medical health risks and needs.
  3. Updates and records changes in health status.
  4. Assures all immunizations and records of immunizations are up to date
  5. Determines plan of care, orders appropriate testing and makes referral to specialist as necessary.

 

2.       Formulates a diagnosis based on the history, physical examination and clinical findings.

 

3.           Develops and implements appropriate treatment plan designed to maximize the                Pediatric patient’s health:

 

4.           Maintains a process for systematic evaluation of patient status by:

a.   Determining the effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of

      client outcome.

b.   Reassessment and modification of care plan as necessary to achieve goals.

 

5.           Seeks to promote maximal health among clinic pediatric patients through:

a.   Prevention

b.   Early Detection

c.   Proper growth evaluations

 

6.           Participates as a team member in the provision of medical care by collaborating

with other providers to provide comprehensive patient care.

 

7.           Participates in quality assurance review on a periodic basis, including systematic

review of records and treatment plans.

 

8.           Prepares reports and other documentation as required.

 

9.           Attends meetings and training sessions as required.

 

10.         Executes EMR reporting through Nextgen, other written or verbal specific             assigned tasks, requiring similar or lesser skills and abilities, some of which are     continuing while others are occasional in nature.

 

11.        Responds to tasks and completes charting in a timely manner to prevent any delay in care and promote coordination of care. 

 

12.          Any other duties as outlined by the Medical Director and/or CEO
