Behavioral Health Center in northwest South Carolina is currently hiring a Psychiatrist to join their strong team.
| Adult Psychiatrist – Inpatient General Adult or Geriatric or Addiction caseload. |
| Behavioral Health Center is looking for an Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist. The New Psychiatrist will preferably specialize in Geriatric Psychiatry and/or provide coverage for an Adult or Addiction Inpatient unit. Fulltime employment offering Salary and benefits. Salary is a negotiated figure based on the candidate’s training, credentials, scope of work and experience. Benefits will include Malpractice, Health insurance, matching 401k, PTO, CME and more. Weekend call is 1:6 and weekday nights is 1:8 by phone only. |
The new addition to our group of Psychiatrists will preferably specialize in Geriatric Psychiatry and/or provide coverage for an Adult or Addiction Inpatient unit. A fully staffed support team is ready to assist the new Physician in meeting the unique Psychiatric needs of patients on the units.
Duties of the position will include admission evaluations, treatment team leadership, discharge summaries and daily care of patients. There is very light shared weekdays and weekend call. Weekend call is 1:6 and weekday nights is 1:8 by phone only.
The compensation structure can be that of an employed physician with salary and benefits or if preferred an independent contractor with reimbursement for patient contacts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The qualifications for the position are the minimum requirements needed to be successful in the position. If training or experience is not required but would be desirable, it is listed as preferred. However, persons without preferred background will be considered in the hiring process.
Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications).
- MD/DO degree from an accredited program required
- Board certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry required
- Licensed to practice in the State of South Carolina or ability to obtain a SC medical license.
- Minimum of four years of training/practice experience
- Inpatient experience preferred
- Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians
