Rheumatologist- Medical Director South Miami, FL
Flexible – Remote options (Medical Director)
We are looking for a BC Florida Licensed Rheumatologist to join our medical practice part time in South Miami, FL. We are looking for a Rheumatologist (MD or DO) in the area that wants to work part time, either remotely as a medical director with minimal time commitment, or 1-4 days per week providing direct patient care in our clinic, helping us provide high quality care to our community. We offer a flexible schedule and hours can be tailored. We prefer the incoming physician be bilingual in Spanish/English if they will be seeing patients. Clinic hours will be split between scheduled times for seeing typical rheumatology patients, and other scheduled times for treating knee osteoarthritis patients with viscosupplementation (hyaluronic acid). 1- 2 days per week preferred but up to 4 days per week 5-8 hours per day (flexible schedule).
As a medical director for our clinic, you will be working remotely to review charts, do periodic brief phone calls/conferences when necessary, and give quarterly reports on notes to updated, corrected, or amended.

Responsibilities (if providing direct patient care):
- Diagnose and treat patients with rheumatic diseases, such as arthritis, lupus, and fibromyalgia.
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Conduct physical examinations and order diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies.
- Perform joint injections and aspirations under fluoroscopic guidance.
- Provide patient education on managing symptoms, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
Requirements:
- Board Certified Rheumatologist
- MD/DO license to practice in FL
- Large joint injection experience, especially for viscosupplementation (hyaluronic acid) under fluoroscopic guidance (if providing patient care)
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred (if providing patient care)
Schedule:
- 1- 2 days per week preferred but up to 4 days per week 5-8 hours per day (flexible schedule) for direct patient care
- OR remotely as needed with minimal time commitment for medical director position
Salary (range):
- $200/hr for direct patient care
- OR $1000-$1500/month for Medical Director position
