ETSU Quillen College of Medicine invites board-certified/board-eligible Rheumatologists to join our existing team of physicians in the Appalachian Highlands of Tennessee. As an Academic Rheumatologist at ETSU, you will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive care, contributing to research, and educating future healthcare professionals in the field of Rheumatology. This outpatient-focused position follows a 4-day schedule, with one day reserved for protected administrative time.

Rheumatologists play a significant role in improving the healthcare landscape of our community, as there is a substantial need for Rheumatological expertise in this region. As a physician in our department, you will be supported by a dedicated Biologics PA Coordinator, on-site lab services, and a healthcare system that prioritizes meaningful patient care over demanding productivity metrics.

Our faculty members benefit from the guidance of experienced academic leaders within our established medical school, alongside a multitude of resources tailored to foster their professional development and growth. Working at ETSU qualifies you for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, as well as other loan forgiveness and repayment initiatives. The ETSU Department of Internal Medicine adheres to AAMC salary recommendations, ensuring compensation is aligned with national academic salary standards for each specialty.

Key responsibilities of an Academic Rheumatologist include:

  • Diagnosing, treating, and educating patients with diverse rheumatological conditions.
  • Mentoring medical students and residents in rheumatology.
  • Conducting lectures, case discussions, and hands-on clinical training for trainees.
  • Contributing to the advancement of knowledge in rheumatological disorders.

If you are a passionate Rheumatologist seeking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative and academic environment, we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine team.

The value of employment at ETSU goes far beyond salary. Regular benefited ETSU employees enjoy a full range of benefits, services, and programs including:

  • Health and life insurance
