ABOUT PROMEDXP® HEALTH & WELLNESS SCREENING CENTER
PROMEDXP® ((Login for Information), Inc.) is an established Non-Emergency Medical Transportation company founded in 2023 and officially operational since 2024. As part of our continued expansion, we are launching the PROMEDXP® Health & Wellness Screening Center in California — a comprehensive screening facility designed to provide individuals, employers, and healthcare partners with fast, reliable, and professional health and compliance screening services.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a licensed California Medical Doctor (MD) to serve as our Consulting Medical Director on a contractor basis. The primary function of this role is to provide medical oversight for our screening operations, serve as the Laboratory Director of Record for our CLIA Certificate of Waiver, and ensure that all screening services are conducted in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This is a consulting role and does not require on-site presence for day-to-day operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
CLIA Waiver Oversight
- Serve as the Laboratory Director of Record on the PROMEDXP® Health & Wellness Screening Center's CLIA Certificate of Waiver application and all associated renewals.
- Ensure that all waived testing is performed in accordance with CLIA regulations and manufacturer instructions.
- Review and approve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all CLIA-waived tests conducted at the center.
- Maintain awareness of any changes to CLIA waiver requirements and advise the team accordingly.
- Be available for regulatory inspections, audits, or inquiries as the Laboratory Director of Record.
Medical Oversight & Compliance
- Provide medical oversight and sign-off authority for the following screening and testing services offered at the center:
- Blood pressure and vitals assessment
- BMI, height, and weight measurements
- Vision testing
- Breath alcohol testing (BAT)
- Glucose testing and A1C screening
- Non-DOT urine drug specimen collection
- DNA specimen collection
- Fingerprinting and background check / I-9 verification coordination
- Review and approve clinical protocols, consent forms, and result reporting procedures.
- Establish and maintain quality control standards for all screening services.
- Provide guidance on the appropriate handling, storage, and chain of custody for biological specimens.
Policy & Documentation
- Review and sign off on all clinical policies and procedures relevant to the screening services offered.
- Ensure staff are operating within their authorized scope and following approved protocols.
- Advise on any required updates to policies in response to changes in California state law, federal regulations, or industry best practices.
- Maintain required documentation in the event of a regulatory audit or compliance review.
Consultation & Communication
- Be available for periodic consultations with the PROMEDXP® leadership team regarding clinical and compliance matters.
- Participate in scheduled check-ins to review operational updates, new service additions, or regulatory changes.
- Provide written guidance or sign-off on any new screening services added to the center's offerings as the business grows.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) — active and unrestricted California medical license in good standing.
- Eligible to serve as a CLIA Laboratory Director under a Certificate of Waiver (per 42 CFR Part 493).
- Familiarity with CLIA waiver regulations, specimen collection protocols, and non-DOT drug testing compliance.
- Knowledge of California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and federal CMS laboratory requirements.
- Experience with occupational health, employer screening programs, or clinical laboratory oversight preferred.
- No history of license suspension, revocation, or disciplinary action.
- Professional liability (malpractice) insurance required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience serving as a Laboratory Director or Medical Director for a CLIA-certified facility.
- Familiarity with breath alcohol testing (BAT) regulations under 49 CFR Part 40.
- Experience with non-DOT drug and alcohol testing program compliance.
- Knowledge of DNA specimen collection standards and chain of custody requirements.

- Type: Independent Contractor / Consulting Agreement
- Location: Remote oversight
- Compensation: To be discussed and agreed upon prior to engagement
- A separate Consulting/Medical Director Agreement will be required prior to commencement
