Chief Medical Officer — Behavioral Health | Locums / Locums to Perm Job | Georgia

A mission-driven behavioral health organization in Georgia is seeking a Chief Medical Officer on a locums basis, with a potential path to permanent placement for the right candidate.

About the role:This is an executive level psychiatric leadership position. The CMO will serve as the senior medical authority across outpatient mental health, substance use, crisis services, IDD programs, and forensic services for a multi-county region. Responsibilities include overseeing a multidisciplinary medical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, participating in strategic planning at the executive level, and representing the organization with community and state partners.

Ideal candidate
--MD with Georgia licensure or license eligibility
--Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry strongly preferred
--7+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health or public sector psychiatry
--Senior leadership experience, including supervision of other providers
--Experience with crisis services, forensic populations, or rural delivery a plus
--Schedule Full time, Monday through Friday
