Job Summary
As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of vendor payments, expense tracking, invoice processing, and financial record keeping. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and other team members to ensure that accounts payable functions are executed with accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Review, code, and process incoming invoices and payment requests

Maintain accurate and organized vendor records and payment histories

Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors, suppliers, and service providers

Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies

Collaborate with purchasing and operations departments to verify invoice details and approvals

Prepare and process electronic transfers and check runs

Assist with month-end closing, including journal entries and reports

Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain professional communication

Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

Monitor and report on outstanding payables and cash flow projections
Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)

2+ years of experience in an accounts payable or bookkeeping role

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms)

Strong Excel skills and familiarity with cloud-based tools (e.g., Google Workspace or Microsoft 365)

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a remote work environment

Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism
