Part-Time Medical Review | Psychiatrist Locums Job in Kansas

We are seeking a Kansas-licensed Psychiatrist for a flexible, low-hour medical review and clinical oversight role supporting youth behavioral health programs.

Role Overview
--Review and sign off on treatment plans to ensure medical necessity and psychiatric appropriateness
--Provide general clinical oversight and clinical guidance as needed
--Conduct periodic case audits to ensure documentation quality, compliance, and continuity of care
--Support care programs serving approximately 500 youth per month
--Be available for clinical escalations when required

Position Details
--Part-time / consulting structure
--Estimated commitment: 2–5 hours per month (initially)
--Fully remote with asynchronous chart review
--Start date: As soon as possible
--End date: Ongoing, based on fit and provider availability

Ideal Candidate
--Licensed in the state of Kansas
--Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, family medicine, or care coordination
--Background in utilization review, medical review, or quality oversight preferred
--Comfortable working independently in a remote, low-touch environment

--No direct patient care responsibilities
--No supervision or collaboration with nurse practitioners required
--No required chart review percentage
--Focus on clinical appropriateness, compliance, and quality oversight
