Medical Review Psychiatrist | Remote Behavioral Health Oversight | Ongoing Locums Job

Seeking a Psychiatrist to provide physician oversight and documentation review for Medicaid-funded behavioral health services. This is a fully remote position with an estimated workload of approximately 5 hours per month. The organization is looking to begin credentialing immediately and establish an ongoing relationship.

Responsibilities include:
• Reviewing and signing care plans
• Reviewing and signing progress notes
• Confirming services are tied to documented diagnosis and medical necessity
• Verifying services align with approved care plans
• Providing limited clinical consultation when documentation or service appropriateness concerns arise
• Supporting Community Psychiatric Support and Treatment (CPST), Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), and Peer Support Services

Additional Details:
• No direct patient care expected
• No medication management or prescribing responsibilities
• No therapy services
• No crisis intervention
• No inpatient coverage
• No medical directorship responsibilities
• Fully remote and asynchronous chart review
• Flexible schedule
• No call requirements
• Approximately 50 clients per month as the program grows
• Adult patient population including elderly, disabled, medically complex, and socially isolated individuals
