Collaborating Psychiatrist Locums Job | Part-Time in Queens, New York

Overview: A community-based behavioral health clinic in Corona, New York is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist (MD) to serve as a collaborating physician for two Nurse Practitioners while also providing limited direct patient care. The clinic serves patients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, and adults.

This role combines clinical oversight with hands-on psychiatric services, including Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Responsibilities:
--Provide clinical collaboration and supervision for two Nurse Practitioners
--Review and sign treatment plans in accordance with state requirements
--Conduct patient evaluations and medication management (all ages)
--Provide MAT/Suboxone treatment as needed
--Maintain compliance with New York State collaboration standards

Qualifications:
--MD required (Psychiatrist)
--Board Certified or Board Eligible
--Active New York medical license (or ability to obtain)
--MAT/Suboxone experience required
--DEA registration required
--Experience treating pediatric and adult populations preferred

Schedule:
--Approximately one day per week OR two half-days
--Onsite presence required
--Combination of administrative oversight and direct patient care
