Cardiac Anesthesiologist Locums Job | Ongoing in Iowa | Growing Cardiac Surgery Program

Dates of Coverage:
--Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (6:30 AM-3:00 PM)
--Tuesday and Thursday (7:00 AM-3:30 PM)
--June 9-13, July 7-11, July 28-31, August 1-8, August 11-15, August 18-22, September 1-5,  December 22-26, and December 29 - January 2, 2026

Assignment Details/Requirements (#108745):
--Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
--Active Iowa license or IML; willing to take providers willing to obtain
--TEE Certified (must be able to read, interpret, and bill TEE procedures - NOT just the placement of the probe) is required
--BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification is required
--Temporary privileges' can be obtained
--COVID Vaccine is required
--Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: Cardiac surgeries 1/day, but not every day; 5-7 general cases/day.  Must help cover general if no cardiac cases.
--Number of Anesthesiologists in Practice: 6 
--Patient Age Demographic: Adolescent, Child, Adult, Geriatric. Very sick children are sent to other hospitals better staffed/equipped for children.
--EMR: Cerner - moving to EPIC
