Position Overview

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a full-time locum tenens Anesthesiologist to support overflow and recruitment gaps across its Fontana and Ontario Medical Centers. This hospital-based role offers a consistent schedule, diverse case mix, and collaborative team environment.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide general anesthesia for:
  • General surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, Urology
  • Occasional Neuro cases (minimal)
  • Healthy pediatric patients (routine cases only)
• No OB or cardiac cases
• Collaborate with CRNAs (minimal oversight required)
• Perform 4–6 cases per shift depending on assignment area
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC

Schedule & Setting

• Shifts: 4x10-hour shifts weekly | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Days: Monday–Sunday rotation
• Weekend Coverage: At least 1 weekend/month required
• Setting: Hospital operating rooms
• Team Structure: Multiple anesthesiologists and CRNAs per shift

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified Anesthesiologist
• Active California medical license required (licensing candidates not accepted)
• Comfortable working in a high-volume hospital setting
• Must meet vaccination requirements
• Experience with EPIC preferred
• Compensation & Logistics
