About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p or 7a-5p
• Rotating weeknight (3p-7a or 5p-7a) and weekend (7a-7a) beeper call shifts
• Level II Trauma
• Patient Population: 60% pediatric, 40% adult
• Case Types: Neurosurgery, neurology, plastics, general, colorectal, minimal vascular, IR, orthopedics, PE strokes, colonoscopies/endoscopies
• Will take non-cardiac cases for congenital cardiac patients
• Mix of 3:1 medical direction and independent cases
• EMR: Cerner
• Must be board-certified
• FL License Required
• CSR Required, DEA Required
• Paid travel & expenses: Full Travel

There are 3 hospitals the locums providers will be covering at. They are all connected and on the same campus.

Breakdown of Cases

60% Peds

40% Adult

SHIFTS

M-F (7-3 or 7-5)

On Fridays, almost all cases are peds.

50/50% mix on M-F (3:1 supervision and doing cases solo) ***the physicians must do both.

The MD is expected to do non cardiac cases for congenital cardiac patients (children). i.e., a patient who has a heart defect is STABLE comes in for dental or ortho case, MD would take this patient.

CALL INFORMATION

Call during week 3p-7a or 5p-7a (call back low during the week)

*You will get called back in if they must finish a case after 3pm. LOW Rate

Call during the weekend 7a-7a (60-70% call back rate) Busier call back On average, 3-4 hour call back on weekends.

• All call during the weekend – children under 2 years old unless there is a complex case with an older child.
