Practice Details

• Seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join a team of 3 Anesthesiologists and 10 CRNA's due to growth and replacement of a retiring physician.  
  
  
• The Anesthesiologists are involved in care and management of all patients and no more than 10% supervising.  
  
  
• Department Case Volume:
  • Chronic Pain Management (1-2 days month)
  • Cardiac Anesthesia (No open heart. Cath lab cases)
  • Major Vascular Anesthesia (3-4 days a week)
  • Obstetric Anesthesia (300 epidurals a year, low volume)
  • Pediatric Anesthesia (Low volume, several cases a month. Usually 5 yrs or older)
  • Neuroanesthesia (None)
  • Trauma Anesthesia (None other than standard ortho fractures)
  • Critical Care Medicine (None)
  • Anesthesia for outpatient surgery (Majority of surgeries are outpatient but hospital based {not ASC})
  • Office based Anesthesia (None)
  • Administrative/ Leadership Duties (Rarely. Mostly covered by Chief. Daily huddle, weekly team meetings)
  • Regional Anesthesia (Usually several blocks a day)
  • Preop Screening Clinic (Daily. Set up next to our OR and part of our quality and safety initiatives)
  • Orthopedic Anesthesia (Daily)
  • Acute Pain Service (Pre op Nerve blocks, no current APS service)
    
    
• Call Schedule: 1:3 nights (call from home); no weekend call.
  
  
  • CRNAs cover OB epidurals during the week. MDs come in with the CRNAs during the week and cover cases or C/Sections together.  
    
    
• Last August, the department launched a vascular procedure room and new procedure room will be finished by end of 2023 and a new operating room in the next 365 days.
  
  
• Volume - Roughly 20-40 cases per day shared between 2-3 docs

• Considering BE/BC Anesthesiologists (practicing and 2024 Residents).
