A hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in the western mountains of Massachusetts.
The schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The average daily case volume includes 57 operating room (OR) cases and 1525 endoscopy procedures. The facility uses a care team model with a 1:3 ratio, and the locum physician is not responsible for preparing the anesthesia cart. Patients range in age from 12 years old to geriatric. The OR staff is described as collaborative. Required procedures include general surgical cases for adults, minor nerve blocks, IV regional anesthesia, thoracic (excluding open heart), complex orthopedic and vascular (excluding open heart), spinal and epidural anesthesia, regional techniques, and neurosurgical cases.
