A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in Richmond Hill, New York.

This position requires a 24-hour in-house shift once a month, with the remainder of the schedule offering Monday-Friday shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours. Post-call days off are not provided. EMR training is mandatory before starting, with a shorter course available for those already familiar with Epic. The case mix includes bread-and-butter procedures, trauma, pediatrics, and interventional neuro radiology, with no cardiac cases. Level 1 trauma experience and OB/GYN experience are required. The role is mostly hands-on with some supervision. The facility has seven ORs and handles approximately 500 cases per month. Preference is given to Monday-Friday coverage, with credentialing taking 3-4 weeks once the application is complete.
