Southern West Virginia - Interventional Cardiology
Excellent opportunity for a seasoned Interventionalist looking to be part of a growing cardiac interventional program. Medical Center is a progressive 92 bed for-profit acute care hospital with multiple service lines, including Interventional Cardiology & Radiology, full service Imaging, Pulmonary and Laboratory departments, and Radiation and Medical Oncology cancer therapies. The only cardiac cath program within a 45 mile radius boasting a newly renovated & expanded cath lab suite, which includes 6 holiday bays, family waiting area and the potential for a 2nd cath system to accommodate added growth.
Surgery - 7 surgical suites, 2 endoscopy suites and 3 L&D suites staffed with 3.5 MDAs and 7 experienced CRNAs. Orthopedic, General, Urology, GYN, Di Vinci surgical system and endoscopy. New Philips 1.5T MRI, Philips R&F and portable radiology system installed in 2014. Approximately 60 deliveries per month. An Ambulatory Surgical Center located off campus. Busy 25 bed Emergency Department that has over 2,500 visits per month and a newly renovated 17 bed Critical Care Unit with all new equipment.
Serves as a teaching facility for DO medical students with traditional rotating internships. Future plans renovating 2 existing med surg floors for private patient rooms and a third vacant wing for private patient rooms to accommodate growth. The hospital has experienced increased positive perception as evident through an increase in HCAHP and employee satisfaction scores.
Community has four seasons with several hundred miles of ATV trails, hunting, fishing, white water rafting and other outdoor activities. Good school systems and affordable cost of living. Approximately 100 miles from Charleston, WV and Roanoke, VA and less than 175 miles from Charlotte, NC.
