Job Description
The Position
• The successful candidate will join a team of accomplished cardiologists in a highly dynamic, collegial, and scholarly environment in the Los Angeles area.
• The successful candidate must be a skilled clinician in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings to ensure the seamless provision and transition of care along the full spectrum of cardiovascular diseases.
• Evidence-based and cutting-edge teaching and supervision of postgraduate trainees is an integral part of the position’s responsibilities.
• While not required to be actively-funded, the successful candidate will be expected to engage in basic, translational, clinical and/or implementation science research.
Other attributes of the candidate:
• High level organizational skills are a requirement.
• Scholarly interest and/or a successful track record of investigation and publication in the areas of pulmonary vascular disease and congenital heart disease is desired.
• Candidates must be a US citizen or permanent resident and eligible for licensure in California.
Harbor's PH and ACHD Programs
The Liu Center for Pulmonary Hypertension was started by Drs. Ronald Oudiz and Bruce Brundage over 20 years ago, when PH treatments were first introduced. Harbor’s PH program is supported by a clinical nurse, a clinical trial coordinator, and clinical research associates.
Harbor’s Adult Congenital Heart Disease program was started by Dr. Priya Pillutla who trained under Dr. Aboulhosn, Director of the Ahmanson/UCLA Adult Congenital Heart Disease Center (and former Harbor Cardiology fellow). The ACHD Clinic is supported by nurse practitioners and clinic staff.

• The Lundquist Institute is situated on an 11-acre research park on the Harbor-UCLA Campus. The Institute provides administrative support for
investigators and receives $60 Million in grants and contracts annually.
• The successful candidate will join one of the Lundquist Institutes focused on their area of interest, including the Institute of Metabolism/Cardiology/Nephrology and Reproduction, the Health Services and Outcomes Research Institute, and the Institute of Respiratory Medicine and Exercise Physiology.
