Cardiology Locums Job in California | 24-Hour Call Coverage Ongoing | Beginning in August | Assignment # 110347

Coverage Needed: 24-Hour Coverage Call (6am-6am) 

Schedule:  
--August 14-23, 18-20 
--September 4-12, 25 
--7-10 shifts needed/month 

Requirements:   
--Board Certified internal medicine or cardiology or board eligible within 5 years 
--California license 
--DEA 
--Availability at time of name clear (looking for specific dates of coverage only) 
--Clean malpractice background- highly preferred 
--Local- highly preferred 
--Ideal procedures: TEE ; optional - Transvenous pacing, tilt table interpretation 
--Residency requirements/ Fellowship- Current certification in Internal Medicine and active participation in the certification process leading to added qualifications in cardiovascular medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine to be achieved within five (5) years of completion of residency training, or; Successful completion of an accredited fellowship training program in cardiovascular medicine during which at least three years were devoted to cardiovascular medicine. 

Assignment Details:  
--Average worked callback hours: 7-9 hours 
--EMR: Cerner 
--Setting: inpatient 
--Duties: Consult patient in ED and inpatients, collaborate with Hospitalists and Specialists, Supervise Stress Tests (Pharmacological /Exercise), Interpret OP and INPT Echocardiology, Holter, Event Monitors   
--Credentialing 30 days 
--Admissions per day: average 3-4 consults, supervised stress tests: 4-8, Echo’s 5-12 
--Types of cases: typical “non-interventional” hospital cardiology cases 
--Facility has an Emergency Department which is staffed with all Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians. The Cardiologist is only called for actual significant cardiology situations.
