Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH), a large public teaching healthcare system, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC/BE General Cardiologist, to join our dynamic practice in our Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Cardiology at (Login for Information) with a secondary site at one of the other enterprise hospitals.

SCVMC hosts four residency programs and one fellowship training program, and partners with Stanford University SOM and Stanford Healthcare for the clinical training of medical students, residents, and fellows. SCVMC is an ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center, a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, an ABA-verified Burn Center, a Primary Stroke Center, a Level 4 NICU, and a nationally recognized CARF-accredited Rehabilitation Center. Owing to its geographic location and specialty offerings, SCVMC not only serves the County, but also the larger region.
About the Community
About the Division
Our Division of Cardiology provides consultative inpatient services and outpatient care for patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease, among others. We are a key training site for SCVMC residents. We are building “The Cardiovascular Center for Excellence” at SCVMC in collaboration with Cardiothoracic surgery and growing structural cardiology services.
About the Position
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Eligible for California medical licensure
- Interest and love for teaching and working alongside residents abd interns
- Shared inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Inpatient rotations on:
- Cardiology Consult Service
- CCU Service
- Strong support from Internal Medicine residents and trainees
- Advance practice provider support and supervision
- Outpatient responsibilities include:
- Echocardiography interpretation (TTE)
- EKG interpretation
- Zio Patch monitoring interpretation
- Ambulatory cardiology clinic
- Performing TEE
- Performing cardioversion
- Shared call schedule promoting work-life balance with q6 – q7 call
