About the Clinician's WorkdayThe cardiologist will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care during weekend coverage periods, working Friday 7 AM through Monday 7 AM shifts. Responsibilities include conducting daily onsite rounds to assess and monitor cardiac patients, managing complex cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathies, valvular heart disease, and dysrhythmias. The clinician will provide both onsite call coverage during shift hours and after-hours telephone consultation, with minimal callbacks to the facility required. Board certification in cardiovascular diseases is mandatory, along with active Kentucky medical licensure and current BLS/ACLS, ATLS, and DEA certifications.
