The facility seeks a cardiology nurse practitioner for 1099 coverage to deliver comprehensive inpatient cardiac care services. The institution maintains modern equipment and established protocols necessary for effective cardiovascular disease management and patient care delivery.

This mountain destination features prominent attractions including the Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway, and North Carolina Arboretum, offering visitors access to historic sites and scenic mountain landscapes. The area provides outdoor activities such as whitewater rafting on the French Broad River and canopy adventures, alongside cultural experiences in the River Arts District and downtown venues like the Grove Arcade and Pack Square Park. Visitors can explore various entertainment options including museums, tours, and recreational facilities throughout the region.

The nurse practitioner will provide comprehensive inpatient cardiovascular care with day shift coverage from 7 AM to 7 PM and night shift coverage from 7 PM to 7 AM for non-ICU general cardiology floor patients. Daily responsibilities include rounding on all floor-level cardiology patients, completing progress notes, event notes, admission H&Ps, consults, and discharges, and ordering medications, tests, and procedures as appropriate. The clinician will perform new consults alongside the attending physician with most patients located on step-down or cardiology units. Support is provided by Hospitalist Medicine and Cardiology services, with Pulmonary Critical Care and Cardiovascular Surgery available as needed.
