Job Overview
- Specialty: CRNA
- Hospital Location: Portland, ME
- Dates of coverage/Start Date: February 2026 - ongoing. Ideally at least 6-month contracts - will consider as short as 3-month contracts with option to extend
- Schedule: 36-40 hours/week. 10- or 12-hour shifts; while 0700-1730 & 0700-1930 are most common, there are options to work 0900-1930; 0900-2130; 1100-2330 as the schedule allows
- Reason for Coverage: Expansion of clinical services.
- Practice Setting: Hospital based
- Documentation System/EMR: EPIC
- CRNA be Supervised or Work Independently: We utilize a medical direction billing model with a collaborative practice model alongside an excellent group of physician anesthesiologist.
- Average Number of Surgical Cases Per Day: 100
- Average Number of Pain Management Cases: 0
- Level 1 Trauma Center
- Annual ER Volume: >60,000 visits/year
- Description of OR Staff: The staff prides themselves on patient-centered care and fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual respect. We work hard and take care of one another while providing excellent care for our patients.
- Number of Operating Rooms: 50
- Patient Age Demographic: Maine Medical Center cares for the whole lifespan of patients; however, we have a dedicated pediatric CRNA specialty team who cover all of our pedi cases.
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days
- General Surgical Cases ADULT
- Spinal Anesthesia
- Neurosurgical Cases
- Ventilation Management
- Local Infiltration
- CRNAs will NOT do open hearts, regional anesthesia, central lines. We have dedicated CRNA teams that cover pediatric, thoracic and OB cases, so locums will generally not do those cases.
