The hospital operates with a supervision model that supports CRNAs in delivering coordinated anesthesia care. The facility excludes cardiac cases from CRNA coverage, maintaining these as physician-only procedures.

This coastal area offers diverse maritime attractions and outdoor activities for visitors. The region features several beaches including Port Aransas Beach, Whitecap Beach, and North Padre Island Beach, along with the Padre Island National Seashore for nature enthusiasts. Notable attractions include the Texas State Aquarium and the USS Lexington Museum, providing educational experiences about marine life and naval history. Visitors can participate in various tours such as pirate cruises, baywatch excursions, and walking tours to explore the area.

The CRNA will provide comprehensive anesthesia services working 48 hours per week across 5 days with varying shift lengths of 8, 10, and 12 hours. The clinician will manage diverse surgical cases including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, podiatry, urology, endoscopy, neurology with spine cases, and Level II trauma procedures. Pediatric and obstetric cases are rare and optional for this position. The clinician will work under supervision with no call requirements. Board certification is required for this locum tenens assignment.
