About the Role

We’re seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, a busy tertiary care hospital serving the Shreveport region. This opportunity offers a dynamic clinical environment, strong NP/PA and scribe support, and competitive compensation.

Facility Details:

• Annual ED volume: 46,000

• 576 hospital beds

• 40.71 hours of daily physician coverage

• 12-hour NP/PA coverage

• 37-hour scribe coverage

• ABEM required

About Willis-Knighton Medical Center:
Conveniently located west of downtown Shreveport, Willis-Knighton Medical Center offers a full spectrum of medical services including a Cancer Center, Heart & Vascular Institute, and the John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center.

Physician Requirements

• Active Louisiana medical license (clean record)

• IMLC accepted

• DEA (Louisiana address preferred; pending accepted)

• Board Eligible/Certified in Emergency Medicine

• ACLS, ATLS, and PALS (if not BC in EM)

• Residency trained in EM

• Recent CME and case logs (past 2 years)

• Copies of diplomas, ECFMG (if applicable), driver’s license, SSN card, photo ID, TB results, flu vaccine, and health attestation required

• Interview required with Medical Director
