The facility features 35 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of APC coverage, a medium level acuity, and an 25% admission rate. Physicians must be board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine (EM).

Originally known as Taylor Township, residents of the township voted to incorporate as the City of Taylor in May 1968.
