Looking for a balanced emergency medicine role just outside the metroplex? (Login for Information) is seeking an experienced emergency physician to join our team at Hunt Regional Medical Center - Quinlan, a Level IV Trauma Center located in Quinlan, Texas, just 55 minutes from downtown Dallas. Located in East Texas, Hunt Regional - Quinlan delivers quality care to its growing patient population while maintaining a close-knit, efficient emergency department. 

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive, well-resourced community facility with manageable volume, consistent shifts, and a strong team culture.

Key highlights include:
  • Level IV Trauma Center
  • 10-bed emergency department
  • ED volume: 16k annually    
  • 55 minutes from downtown Dallas
  • Receives EMS patients from surrounding rural areas
  • On-site 24/7: respiratory therapist, radiology tech (CT/X-ray); sonographer on-call
  • Advanced equipment: bedside ultrasound, Glidescope, Ambu A-scope, Level 1 transfuser, ventilator with BiPAP, and 6 units of blood on-site
  • Admit support includes hospitalist group, podiatry residency, and NICU access through Greenville campus
  • Collaborative protocols in place for STEMI, CVA, trauma, and other high-acuity scenarios

Position Details
  • Start date: flexible/immediate
  • Shifts: two, 8-hour day shifts and one, 10-hour night shift daily (24-hour physician coverage total)
  • EMR: Cerner
  • Volume: average 40-45 patients per day
  • Independent contractor (1099) position
  • Flat hourly rate to offer consistency 
  • Sign-on bonus available for full-time commitment (120 hours/month)

Qualifications
  • Board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine (EM), family medicine (FM), or internal medicine (IM)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of EM experience required for FM and IM candidates
  • Ability to work independently in a lower-volume, community-based setting
  • Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
