Specialty: Emergency Medicine Location : Waco, TX (J-1 Eligible) Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Onsite Salary: $255/hr Position Overview: Seeking board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine physicians to join a high-volume, fully staffed Emergency Department in Waco, TX. Located on a comprehensive medical campus and serving as a certified stroke and chest pain center, this ED offers excellent specialty backup, supportive leadership, and a strong APP team. This is a W-2 employed position offering long-term stability and lifestyle balance in a growing Texas community. Compensation & Benefits Base Compensation: $255/hr Sign-On Bonus: $60,000 CME/BEA: Annual allowance Licensing & Credentialing Support Included Employment Model: W-2 only Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and Rx coverage Malpractice insurance with tail coverage 100% Paid Parental Leave Paid Military Leave Short- and Long-Term Disability (own occupation) Student Loan Refinancing options Intangibles & Professional Development: National Clinical Governance Board (NCGB) 24/7/365 live physician support Internal professional development programs and leadership tracks Annual Clinical Assembly Why Candidates Love This Opportunity ED Volume: 54,000 annual visits ED Beds: 51 Patients per Hour: 2 Admission Rate: 18% Coverage Model: 10-hour shifts with 50–60 hours of physician coverage and 30–40 hours of NP/PA coverage per day Designations: Certified Stroke and Chest Pain Center EMR: Epic Qualifications: • Board Certified/Board Eligible in: Family Medicine or Internal Medicine • Open to Residents and Fellows • Open to J-1 Visa Candidates • ???Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) • National Institutes of Health (NIH) • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. • Active unencumbered physician Texas state license • Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program • One year of work experience as Family Medicine/Internal with Emergency Medicine • One year of EMR experience SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks. Requirements: COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.
