Del Sol is seeking an experienced and motivated assistant medical director to support clinical leadership, operational excellence, and team development within a busy Level II Trauma Center. This role offers a balanced mix of clinical practice and leadership responsibility in a growing, well-supported emergency department. At an elevation of 3,800 feet above sea level, with the highest peak in the city being North Franklin Mountain at 7,192 feet above sea level. El Paso is also home to the 24,000-acre Franklin Mountains State Park, the largest urban park in the United States. El Paso is a thriving metropolitan city and is home to the University of Texas at El Paso, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Fort Bliss, one of the largest military complexes of the United States and neighbors Alamogordo, New Mexico, home to Holloman Air Force Base.

About Del Sol
- Level II Trauma Center
- Annual patient volume of 60,000
- 34-bed ED
- EMR: Meditech
- M*Model Dictation - a speech-to-text documentation platform that streamlines charting, enhances accuracy, and reduces administrative responsibility; this tool helps clinicians spend more time with patients and less time on paperwork
- Part of the HCA Healthcare system
- HCA Residency Program Association: internal medicine residents rotate through the ED
- Affiliated freestanding emergency departments: Horizon and East
- 379-bed hospital
- 49 hours of physician coverage (9, 10, 11 hour shifts)
- 20 hours of APC coverage
Position Requirements
- Board prepared or board certified in EM through American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM), American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM)
- Texas medical license and DEA or ability to obtain prior to start date
