Job Description
ETSU's Quillen College of Medicine invites board-certified/board-eligible Endocrinologists to join our established team in the Appalachian Highlands of Tennessee. This outpatient-focused role follows a 4-day clinical schedule, with one day reserved for protected academic and administrative time.
Our region has a growing need for Endocrinology services, offering physicians the opportunity to positively impact the community while advancing their academic career. The department provides support through an in-house specialist pharmacist, on-site lab services and a healthcare system focused on patient-centered care rather than rigid productivity metrics.
Our faculty members benefit from the guidance of experienced academic leaders within our established medical school, alongside a multitude of resources tailored to foster their professional development and growth. Working at ETSU qualifies you for the federal and state-supported loan repayment and forgiveness programs. The ETSU Department of Internal Medicine adheres to AAMC salary recommendations, ensuring compensation is aligned with national academic salary standards for each specialty.
As an Academic Endocrinologist at ETSU, you will:
- Diagnose, treat and educate patients with diverse endocrinological conditions.
- Mentor and train medical students and residents while leading lectures and case discussions and hands-on clinical training.
- In addition, faculty will have the opportunity to engage in scholarly activities and contribute to the development of presentations and publications, on par with their role as an educator and faculty member of the ETSU Quillen College of Medicine.
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Successful completion of Endocrinology fellowship from an ACGME-accredited program (at time of employment)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology (at time of interview)
