The facility operates with established protocols during regular business hours and maintains 24/7 phone support for clinical consultation and guidance with rapid one-week credentialing processes.

Alaska offers extensive outdoor recreation opportunities including hiking, packrafting, ice climbing, and exploration of historic mining ruins in the backcountry. Visitors can experience diverse activities such as dog sledding, cruises, helicopter tours, whale watching, and scenic railway journeys on the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway and Alaska Railroad. Most tourist operations and tours close around mid-September, with seasonal activities available during the operating period.

The physician associate will provide comprehensive family medicine care to adult patients in a correctional facility environment, managing 8-12 patients daily with focus on chronic care management. The clinician will work Monday through Thursday or Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM with no call requirements, conducting thorough patient evaluations and maintaining accurate medical documentation. The position offers 24/7 phone support for clinical consultation and collaboration with nursing staff and nurse supervisors to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
