Job Summary
SharpCare Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Core Faculty Physician to join our Grossmont Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program. In this vital role, you will provide expert clinical care, contribute to curriculum development, mentor and support residents, and engage in scholarly and quality improvement initiatives. Duties
- Teach and supervise residents to support achievement of core competencies and promote safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Prepare and deliver educational content, including didactic lectures, clinical teaching, and skills-based training.
- Provide ongoing feedback and advising to residents regarding their progress in the program.
- Complete resident evaluations and submit formal written feedback in a timely manner.
- Participate in program-related educational activities, including teaching, research, clinical discussions, rounds, conferences, journal clubs, and other learning activities.
- Complete continuing education and faculty development activities as requested by program or hospital leadership.
- Support recruitment efforts for residents and faculty.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, administrative personnel, committees, and medical staff to support program operations.
- Assist with regulatory compliance related to ACGME, The Joint Commission, state licensing requirements, and other applicable standards.
- Recommend policy or procedure updates as needed to support the program.
- Assist with grant proposals, ACGME site visits, annual reporting, and program documentation as requested.
- Perform other reasonable program-related duties as assigned by hospital or program leadership.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine in California.
- Board Certification in Family Medicine.
- Preferred: 1 year faculty teaching experience with a Family residency.
