We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Doctor to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care across various specialties, utilizing advanced medical knowledge and technology. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing a diverse patient population in outpatient and inpatient settings, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and patient safety protocols. The Medical Doctor will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional healthcare services, participate in clinical research, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Duties

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status using medical terminology and vital signs.
• Diagnose illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans incorporating specialties such as cardiology, endocrinology, neurology, or pediatrics as applicable.
• Perform or supervise procedures including suturing, catheterization, intubation, wound care, and diagnostic evaluations like CT scans or nuclear medicine imaging.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, infectious diseases, or mental health issues including PTSD and behavioral health.
• Prescribe medications accurately following CPT coding and medication administration protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or EMR systems for documentation, patient records management, and clinical research data entry.
• Provide patient education on health coaching, disease prevention, immunizations, family planning, and post-operative care.
• Coordinate discharge planning, home care instructions, and follow-up appointments to ensure comprehensive patient care continuity.
• Participate in telehealth consultations when appropriate to expand access to healthcare services.
• Maintain infection control standards and aseptic techniques during all procedures.

Skills

• Extensive knowledge of medical imaging modalities including diagnostic radiology and nuclear medicine.
• Proficiency with EHR systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms for efficient documentation and clinical workflow management.
• Experience in multiple specialties including cardiology (interventional radiology, catheterization), neurology (neurocritical care), pediatrics (neonatology), obstetrics/gynecology (labor & delivery), oncology, rheumatology, sleep medicine, immunology, infectious disease care, and emergency medicine.
• Skilled in performing complex procedures like spinal taps, gastric lavage, ventilator management, wound care, and IV infusion therapy.
• Strong understanding of medical coding (ICD/CPT) for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
• Ability to work effectively in inpatient settings such as Level I Trauma Centers or ICU environments as well as outpatient clinics.
• Excellent communication skills for patient service delivery and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledge of public health principles and experience with clinical trials or research initiatives is desirable.
