Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician (MD) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care across the lifespan. 

This position is eligible for a $100,000.00 sign-on bonus and additional relocation, continuing education, and student loan repayment incentives, up to $20,000.00

General Scope of Practice

  • Provide full-spectrum primary care to patients of all ages
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Deliver preventive care, wellness visits, and health screenings
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other members of the healthcare team
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Shared ER call and coverage rotation designed to promote work-life balance

  • High need for continuity of care and chronic disease management
  • Strong emphasis on preventive medicine and access to primary care services

Education and Qualifications 

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians (AOBFP)
  • Eligible for state medical licensure
  • DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • BLS/ACLS certification as required
  • Must be new to Rural Healthcare
