The Family Practice Physician will provide services to beneficiaries of the Indian Health Service at the Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. The Physician shall deliver quality care to attain positive health outcomes for all our valued patients with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity.
Lawton Indian Hospital is a full-service hospital providing a variety of inpatient, outpatient, and public health services. Position details:
- 1099, rate $155-175/hour
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Monday-Friday, day shift
- Chenega covers medical malpractice insurance
- Patient volume: Estimated 20 per day
? Responsibilities:
- Examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients seen.??
- Recommend and refer patients to other Indian Health Service providers and Purchase Referred Care vendors.
- Document services in the?electronic medical record system for patient encounters; complete administrative paperwork including electronic consults, co-signatures, completion of chart or Risk Management Reviews, unusual occurrences and peer review.
- Provide consultation to the Hospital Emergency Department health care providers on an as needed basis.??
- Provide physician service and staff urgent care clinic, as needed.??
Qualifications:
- Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.?
- Board Certified in or Board Eligible in Family Practice and/or Internal Medicine.?
- Successful completion of a residency program in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Training Program.?
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Active DEA license.
