A corrections facility is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in Southern Virginia.

Outpatient adult practice, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no call responsibilities. The physician typically sees 18-20 patients per day and is supported by RNs and LPNs. Candidates must hold a valid Virginia medical license and DEA certification. The site uses a paper EMR system with Sapphire for prescriptions. Credentialing takes approximately two weeks, and the position is open to MDs only, with a separate need available for an NP.
