Family Medicine Hospital Based job located in Virginia

Outpatient Clinic is seeking a Locum Primary Care Physician for coverage beginning 9/7/2026
- Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm; no call
- Expected patient volume: 25 patients per day (MD); location assignments may vary based on operational need for 3 different locations
- All encounters must be closed by 8:30am the following morning
- Provide comprehensive primary care including preventive care, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, medication prescribing, and referral coordination
- Perform physical examinations; order and interpret x-rays, clinical laboratory tests, and diagnostic findings
- Prepare and review case histories; obtain patient data through interviews
- Provide continuing, comprehensive health maintenance including preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health
- Participate in surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, and critical care procedures per training and demonstrated ability
- Determine need for specialist consultation; collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, culturally competent care
- Support quality improvement initiatives; may teach residents, practitioners, and medical students
- Knowledge of the principles and practice of preventive medicine and of the state and federal laws about medicine and community health centers
- BC/BE in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required
- Required: VA license, DEA 
- Bilingual candidates preferred
