Join 3 other family practitioners and a midlevel provider. Responsibilities involve performing a broad scope of outpatient procedures. Admit all of your inpatient needs to the hospitalist department. See everything from pediatrics to geriatrics. Call is 1:4 only by phone. Hospital is a full service acute-care community hospital with approximately 43K annual ER visits. Recent capital improvements include a new 64-Slice CT Scanner, PACS, an Ambulatory Surgery Center and a 2nd Cath Lab. The state-of-the-art oncology center is affiliated with a well-known university program. Located in the beautiful foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of southern Virginia, the city has 32K residents and pulls about 92K residents into their primary coverage area.
