We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Gastroenterologist Physician to join our gastroenterology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Decatur Morgan GI clinic, procedures, surgery coverage, as well as call rotation. This recruitment aims to prevent patient migration within the hospital’s primary and secondary service areas, and is apart of succession planning for retiring physicians.
You would be joining our established Gastroenterology clinic staffed with an advanced and experienced GI nurse practitioner and experienced staff which provides you with an opportunity to grow our GI division alongside an established team. We currently have a GI Hospitalist and two Hospital GI Nurse Practitioners on site Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm that cover all inpatient/ED consults during those hours. The incoming GI will be in call rotation for night and weekend coverage. The current call volume is 0 to 1 call per weekday night and 3 to 5 call volume average for weekend coverage. Weekend coverage will also consist of rounding and covering consults averaging 6 to 10 consults.
