Gastroenterology Hospital Based job located in California

• The candidate must be skilled in General Endoscopy (EGD, colonoscopy) and Gastroenterology/Hepatology.
• Teaching and supervision of post-graduate trainees is an integral part of the clinical responsibilities, although limited direct patient care performing endoscopies on his/her own, in- and outpatient care is expected.
• General GI faculty is expected to supervise/perform general endoscopies 3 ½ days per week; and attend the GI clinic 1 day per week.
• Protected CME ana Academic Time
• The allowable limit of the LAC policy on outside employment is no more than 24 hours per week/96 hours per month; the 40 hours per week of DHS-related work is required
• Inpatient consult, outpatient e-consult, and General Endoscopy call duties are equally shared between all GI faculty.

• The Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology has five full-time faculty, three contract physicians, and two nurse practitioners.

Academic Affiliation 

• The Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is affiliated with the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.  The GI/Hepatology Division is part of the Affiliated UCLA Training Program which includes 4 hospitals.
• Successful candidate will be eligible for appointment to the faculty of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
