Inpatient Gastroenterology Hospitalist/Call Coverage Locums Job in Florida | One Week in October, Two Weeks in December + Ongoing

Jackson and Coker's valued client in the Tampa area is seeking one GI to assist with three open weeks of GI hospitalist/call coverage this year. This client already has a few locums physicians on staff and ideally would add on one physician to cover the existing gaps in 2025 and to assist with ongoing coverage on a more consistent basis moving forward (approximately 2-3 weeks/quarter). 

2025 Dates of Coverage:
--7am 12/1 – 7am 12/8
--7am 12/29 – 7am 1/5/26 (holiday pay on 1/1/26)
+ will have the opportunity to assist with ongoing needs in 2026 (on average 2-3 weeks/quarter)
+ will be required to complete an EPIC test out and/or training prior to coverage 

Additional information about assignment #109578:
- Active Florida license, Florida registered DEA and Board Certification required 
- Will be covering ED call at two affiliated hospitals that are approximately 15 minutes apart in distance in tandem
- Will primarily work at one facility (70% of time), but should expect to regularly work at both locations 
- Will work an average of 8-10 hours in the hospital(s) at a minimum each day
- Can anticipate seeking between 20-30 patients per day between both facilities 
- Duties while covering: covering EDs + completing daily patient rounding, seeing emergent/new consults + doing emergency/inpatient procedures
- Both facilities are community hospitals, are not designated trauma centers & have EPIC EMR
- Main facility has ~150 beds, second location has ~80 beds
- There will not be any APP support in the hospitals (exist in clinic), facility currently has 2 staffed GIs, full anesthesia support available 24/7
