Gastroenterology Locums Job in New York | Monday–Friday | Beginning April – Ongoing | Assignment #114062

Coverage Details
-- Monday–Friday schedule
-- 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
-- 30-minute lunch break
-- No overnight weekday call
-- Average ~40 procedures per week (elective + urgent/emergent)

Requirements
-- Board certified or board eligible
-- Gastroenterology fellowship
-- BLS, ACLS, PALS

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Endoscopy
-- Colonoscopy
-- Capsule endoscopy interpretation

Assignment Details
-- Mix of outpatient endoscopy and inpatient consults
-- Inpatient cases typically 7:30 AM – 9:00 AM
-- Procedural block approximately 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
-- Average of 6 colonoscopies daily
-- Management of GI conditions including cirrhosis, chronic liver disease, and acute IBD flares
-- 10–15 inpatient consults daily
-- Nurse Practitioner support with minimal oversight
-- GI NP coverage for inpatient service Monday–Thursday
-- Level 3 trauma center
-- EMR: EPIC
