Job Description
Specialty: Gastroenterology
Criteria: Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology that included training in ERCP
Hospital Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Reason for opening: Extra Volume
Setting: ED and Inpatient only
Start: January 12 - ongoing
Availability: 1-2 weeks per month. Preference is for providers with a minimum of 2 weeks a month availability but will consider providers with 1 week per month for the next 9-12 months.
Patients per day: 15-20 with +5 procedures
Shift: Average expected time in house to be 8A-8P (12 hours) with 12 hours of on call (8P-8A)
Average calls: while on call 0-10 7p-7a
Average callback in 24 hours: 1-3 times overnight per week
Required current experience: Demonstrated current competence and evidence of performance of at least 200 therapeutic ERCP procedures, 40 sphincterotomies and 10 stent placements in the past 12 months or completion of training in the past 12 months.
Procedures: Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), Liver biopsy, Upper GI endoscopy, ERCP
License: OK license or IMLC
EMR: Epic
