Medical Center is seeking a locum BC Gastroenterology physician for 24 hour call coverage
--Open dates:
June 9 7am - June 16 7am
November 24 7am - December 1 7am
--Reason for Coverage: Physician Shortage
--Clinical Areas: Adult, Hospital, Gastro
--Lab and X-Ray on site
--Outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine is not required
--Trauma Level II
--Average Number of Hospital Based Patients Per Locum Per Day: 16 with 6 consults
--4 Physicians in group
--APP Support during the weekdays, Solo coverage during nights and weekends.
--EMR: EPIC
--Required procedures: Colonoscopy, Liver Biopsy, Esophageal Dilatation/Manometry, Esophageal Manometry Interpretation, Lower GI Endoscopy, Sigmoidoscopy
--Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy: with Biopsy, with Foreign Body Removal, with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser), with Injection of Varices, with Banding of Varices, with ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy), Diagnostic, Therapeutic
--Required: SC license, no new grads
--ERCP preferred but not required
