Two acute-care hospitals located approximately 8 miles apart are seeking gastroenterology coverage. The facilities provide comprehensive inpatient services with dedicated endoscopy capabilities and varying patient volumes between locations.

Outside of Charleston, SC, offers diverse recreational opportunities and attractions throughout the region. The state features year-round outdoor activities, cultural attractions, and dining options suitable for visitors of all interests and age groups.

The gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive inpatient consultation services and endoscopic procedures across two acute care facilities. Daily duties include performing morning endoscopic procedures starting at 8:00 AM, conducting patient rounds, and responding to consultation requests throughout the day. Call responsibilities begin at 7:00 AM with evening pager coverage required, and some shifts extend from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Board certification is required along with prescriptive authority for this locum tenens position.
