Gastroenterology Physician Locums Job in Texas | Starting January 2026 + Ongoing

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a great client in the heart of East Texas seeking GI coverage (including ERCP) starting January 2026. The client is seeking physicians who can cover a minimum of two weeks per month ongoing.

Dates of Coverage:
--Full-time available starting January 2026 + ongoing until perm GI is found
--Will consider GIs who can cover two weeks per month

Job Requirements for Assignment #110621:
* Texas medical license (or active IMLC) required
* Board Certified or Board Eligible required
* Inpatient GI only
* ACLS required
* General GI with ERCP
* Endoscopy trained GI nursing staff for procedures
* Number of patients and procedures per day will vary, they expect the load to be up to 10 patients per day to round on and procedures as needed for this
* There is Anesthesia backup and they do prefer conscious sedation when possible.
* Hospital admits the patients
* Abdominal pain, GI bleed, SBO, food bolus, Ulceration, gastritis, perhaps diagnose carcinoma but no treatment.
* Paragon EMR, with plans to switch to EPIC in later 2026
