Gastroenterology Physician Locums Job in Texas | 24-Hour Call | 11/24 - 12/1 | Assignment #112110

Coverage Needed: 11/24 – 12/1

Shift Descriptions:
-- 24-hour call, 7am-7am
-- 30-minute call response time

Requirements:
-- Board certified
-- Fellowship
-- Must be licensed in Texas
-- ACLS certification
-- Procedures:
    -- Upper and lower GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection varices, and PEG) 
    -- Esophageal dilatation/manometry and manometry interpretation
    -- Small bowel biopsy
    -- Sigmoidoscopy (flexible/rigid)
    -- Colonoscopy (with biopsy or with excision of polyp)
    -- Liver biopsy
    -- Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube

Assignment Details:
-- Facility is trauma level III
-- Will supervise APPs 
-- Admissions, inpatient consults, and ED consults and transfers
-- EMR: Athena/Medhost
-- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 10 days
-- Temporary privileges available
