Gastroenterology Hospital Based job located in Texas

Facility seeking a Locum GI Physician with ERCP capabilities for inpatient facility
--Shift Time: 7a–7a (24-hour call)
--2026 Schedule:
• 2/22(am)-2/23(am)
• 3/9(am)-3/13(am)
• 3/21(am)-3/23(am)
• 8/31(am)-9/1(am)
• 11/2(am)-11/3(am)
• 11/8(am)-11/9(am)
--There will be no outpatient work only in house and ER consults with procedures generated from those. 
--Required Procedures: normal GI procedures like endoscopies and colonoscopies, along with ERCP capability
--EMR: Currently using Paragon with plans to switch to EPIC later in 2026
--Support Staff: Endoscopy trained GI nursing staff for procedures
--Reason for Coverage: Perm GI is leaving
--Deal breakers: Excessive malpractice suits, Medical board disciplines
--Number of patients and procedures per day will vary, they expect the load to be up to 10 patients per day to round on and procedures as needed for this. 
--There is Anesthesia backup and they do prefer conscious sedation when possible. 
--ERCP Required
--Rounding is involved
--The hospital will admit the patients 
--Types of cases: Abdominal pain, GI bleed, SBO, food bolus, Ulceration, gastritis, perhaps diagnose carcinoma but no treatment. 
--Required: BC/BE Gastroenterology, TX license, residency trained, ACLS
