Job Description

(Login for Information) has partnered with a large, physician-led, independent not-for-profit health system to recruit a Gastroenterologist for a well-established and highly respected GI practice serving a multi-state region. This organization has provided high-quality, patient-centered care for over a century and is nationally recognized for clinical excellence, physician leadership, and financial stability.

Position Highlights

  • Full-time, employed Gastroenterology position
  • Mix of outpatient/Inpatient cases (approximately 60% outpatient / 40% inpatient cases)
  • ERCP privileges available for qualified candidates
  • Established referral base within a strong primary care network
  • State-of-the-art facilities and equipment
  • Integrated Epic EMR across all inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Teaching opportunities with residents and medical students
  • Opportunities for clinical research and leadership involvement

 

Schedule & Call

  • Monday–Friday clinic schedule (40 hours per week)
  • Manageable call rotation: 1:3 (approximately 10 days/month, including one weekend)
  • Flexibility in call coverage preferences

 

Compensation & Incentives

  • $1.1M Income Potential
  • Sign-on bonus: $100,000
  • Quality and value-based incentive opportunities (2.5%+ annually)
  • APP supervision compensation: $20 per wRVU generated
  • Call Pay & additional stipends available
  • Fellowship stipend: $2,000/month for up to 24 months
  • Additional income opportunities through clinical research

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
  • Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
  • ERCP experience preferred but not required
  • Open to experienced physicians and fellows
  • J-1 Visa sponsorship available
