Shift Description
-- 24-Hour Call

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
-- Must be licensed in Washington or IMLC
-- ACLS, BLS
-- Procedures: 
    -- Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder - cautery vs. laser, injection of varices, ERCP – diagnostic and therapeutic, PEG)
    -- Esophageal dilatation/manometry
    -- Esophageal manometry interpretation
    -- Small Bowel biopsy
    -- Lower GI endoscopy
    -- Sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
    -- Colonoscopy (with biopsy, excision of polyp)
    -- Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
    -- Liver biopsy
    -- Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube

Assignment Details
-- Level III trauma facility
-- Provider takes call, 5 MAC cases, and hospital rounding
-- EMR: Epic
-- Temporary privileges available
